IAM 2025: Technology on the rise, but human relations still lead the way

Fresh from returning from the 63rd IAM in New York, our team is back with a suitcase full of meetings, new contacts and a renewed vision of the future of the sector.
This year, Mudinmar was represented by Gregorio Martínez (CEO), Antonio Gil (Branch Manager Madrid), Leopoldo Zambrano (Moving Price Manager) and Camilo Bedoya (Private Sales Executive), who participated in an edition that was more professional and strategic than ever.
At a time when there is more talk about AI and ChatGPT than human relationships, events such as IAM demonstrate that de-digitalisation is essential: meeting face to face remains a key part of building trust, strengthening collaborations and truly understanding where our sector is heading.
This year’s convention had a very clear focus: fewer long nights, more serious meetings. It was an edition marked by data, numbers and realistic projections that paint an exciting but also demanding future. Our team took advantage of every encounter at our stand —renovated this year with a new roll-up— to listen, learn and contribute.
Beyond the official programme, our representatives enjoyed several Broadway shows alongside the Latin American companies in attendance, an experience that reinforced the great relationship we already share with many of our agents on the other side of the Atlantic.
In the commercial sphere, this edition brought us one of the most positive surprises: the birth of a three-way relationship between Mudinmar and new companies in Mexico and Germany, which is already beginning to yield results in record time. A perfect example of the power of these international encounters.
And in such a symbolic year for IAM, we would also like to highlight a historic milestone: the election of the first IAM Chairman from outside the United States. We warmly congratulate Stephan Geurts Jr. of Government Logistics & Gosselin, a company with which we maintain a close collaboration. This step celebrates the global diversity of the sector and its openness to new perspectives.
With more than six decades of history, IAM continues to demonstrate that the essence of our work is the people and the bonds we create.
Let’s continue Moving Forward Together!
