Packing techniques
- Use small boxes for heavy items and medium-sized boxes for crockery (well wrapped).
- Label everything with a description and the room it belongs in.
- Do not include liquids, perishable items, jewellery, weapons, cash, etc.
- Set aside the items you will need on moving day.
Collection day
- Sign the removal contract.
- Separate items that are not to be moved.
- Take documents, jewellery, medicines and cash with you.
- Empty and disconnect electrical appliances.
- Report valuable items to the insurance company.
- Organise items by destination and request a numbered list of contents.
- Accompany the team if possible and supervise the process.
- Use stickers and instructions for subsequent assembly.
- Ensure that you leave the property clean and properly locked.
Delivery day
- Check that everything has been paid for.
- Be present or delegate someone you trust.
- Check the packages against the inventory.
- If there is any damage or missing items, note this on the delivery note and make a claim within 72 hours.
- Furniture will be placed in its designated location and assembled if you have requested this service.
- Decoration and technical services (electricians, plumbers, etc.) are not included.
- Keep all documentation related to the move.
